I often have a project on the go and its a useful way for me to document what i am doing.
Sk3 hall sensor.
Opened in july 2019.
When they say sensored in the context of hobby brushless motors they mean that it has hall effect commutation sensors.
The sensor arrangement is fixed with hall signals a b and c on the kelly being connected to signals a b c on the board arbitrarily selected for easy wiring.
A b and i on hall input 3 then please give it a try and ask more questions if needed.

For a 7 pair 14 pole motor like the sk3 the key number is 17 14 degrees.
Which hall sensors and how do they work.
Ss461 work fine too.
It s finally working after all the failed attempts and the reworks.

This is a feature we are looking to support one day you can subscribe to the issue here to be notified of updates.
I appreciate that notching the plates will short some of the plates out but i think the shorting is.
So the centre of each hall sensor needs to be 17 14 degrees from the next.
I was able to work on the scooter for a whole afternoon.
How to add external hall sensors to a turnigy sk3 outrunner.
August 6 2015 at 10 36 am it seems that most of the hall sensors are inset into the actual stator plates.
Thanks to the people from endless sphere for their suggestions.
The test setup is a kelly kbs36051 sensor commutated controller and a turnigy sk3 6364 motor with 59mm hall effect sensor board running on 24 volts.
External hall sensors on the turnigy aerodrive sk3 6374 149kv brushless outrunner motor doug says.
However you should note that hall sensors are much lower resolution than encoders so accurate position control is not possible.
This blog is a page to collate my thoughts and maybe help others along the way.
Completed boards with sensors single completed board with sensors bare pcbs without sensors mounted on example motors 63mm c style 59mm sk3 63 style 80mm c style using hall effect sensor adapters example sk3 63 motor not included with hall effect sensor adapter and board.
I already had a feeling one of the hall sensors was damaged from when i was first testing out the motor.
